Maidstone Activity Dogs
Maidstone Activity Dogs was set up in 2014 and now runs as a very successful Agility Club with dogs competing regularly with excellent results. The club has Kennel Club Listed Status for both Agility and The Good Citizen Dog Scheme and runs a Kennel Club Agility Show through the summer and an independent series of 4 shows through the winter.

We have recently added Puppy Training, Hoopers (through the summer months) and Rally once a month.
​
If you choose to train with us you become part of Team MAD. We currently have approx 100 members. We pride ourselves in supporting each other at shows, cheering each other on at presentations and of course being there when things don't go to plan. Everyone is really friendly and we welcome those who want to be part of our ever growing MAD Family!
Our Trainers
Katie
Owner/Head Trainer
Agility classes are run by Katie who has over 16 years experience of working with Dogs including Military and Police Dogs and dogs trained for private security companies.
Katie has a certificate in education and training and also been a swimming teacher for 7 years so has plenty of experience in teaching.
She currently has 3 dogs of her own, 3 Malinios, Heidi, Bridget and Ralph .
Katie currently competes with Ralph who won into Grade 3 during his first competing season and is now Grade 4.

Katie and her Malinois Chaos competed on the Great Britain Team for the Belgian Shepherd World Championships in Germany in 2017.
Katie is also a Kennel Club Championship judge for Agility, Judges Trainer and Agility 1st Qualified Instructor and Canine Hoopers World Level 1 Instructor.
​
Katie is going in Maternity leave towards the end of 2023 so will be taking a step back for a while and handing over to the training team below.
Vanessa
Full Time Trainer
Vanessa joined us in 2021 as our full time trainer. She runs all Puppy classes, Agility and Hoopers classes. Vanessa is qualified as a Canine Hoopers World Instructor

Vanessa has competed in Agility at Grade 7 (the highest level) with her Border Collie Josie and also has Nancy, a Sheltie. Both now train in Hoopers and have their level 4 award.
​
In Mid 2022 Vanessa had a new addition to her pack, another Sheltie called Periwinkle. He has started Hoopers training and now he is old enough he has started Agility Training too.

Katy
Puppy Trainer
Katy has been a member of the club since almost the beginning - when she was 12 years old. She's trained several dogs with us in Agility and Hoopers, teaches puppy training with her aunt at another club, has competed in Agility, Hoopers and Obedience and now works as a Hydrotherapist and is qualified to carry out dog massage. (ive probably missed bits and she can do more than that!)

Katy has 3 Golden retrievers - Millie, Louie & Gracie. Katy will be taking over puppy training from October 2023.
Lizzie
Agility Trainer
Lizzie has joined our training team in October 2023. She has been training her youngster with Vanessa but has been doing Agility since she was 10 years old.
Currently Lizzie has a dog who competes at Championship level and a Grade 3 dog. She has completed her Agility Club instructors course.

Lizzie will be running foundations classes from late 2023 and will be taking on some of Katie's more experienced and youngster groups from 2024.
