Service Description

PLEASE READ AND BE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND: This class will be held at Homewood, ME16 9LX. Suitable for dogs from approx 9 months of age. This class will be working on toy play, drive, flatwork handling and focus for handler and an introduction to some Jump skills, a Tunnel and Foundation Contact Skills. You will not be let loose on a course or doing full height equipment. Please note once booked, refunds will only be given if your space can be filled. Only Dogs and Handlers who are deemed ready to progress after the 4 weeks will be offered a space in a regular training group (once one is available) so regular attendance is advised. It is likely regular classes will run on the same day/time as this course. Due to Agility training focusing on handler training as well as dog training, the same handler will need to bring the dog each week. It is not a permissible to send a substitute handler on weeks you can not attend. Agility is off lead, you must be able to get your dog back so a reasonable recall is essential, if they don't you will need to do the Bronze Good Citizen course first to work on these skills. Agility is a sport so dogs should be fit enough to take part and free from injury. Handlers you need to be prepared to run (only a little at first!!) Please note that missed weeks are charged for. Bitches in season must not be brought to training. Reactive Dogs: We do not allow dogs with reactivity issues or aggression issues to attend group training classes. If your dog is reactive to other dogs or humans, a group class with not resolve this, you need specialist training from a behaviorist. We will not put ourselves, other trainers, customers or their dogs at risk by allowing your dog into a class situation. If you are asked to leave a class you have been booked onto due to your dog being reactive - no refund will be given. Over excitement should not be confused for reactivity.
